Trials & Temptations

The trials and tribulations of life can be hard! God allows us to be tested in many different ways. When you realize these trials

are building your character to become the person God wants you to be, it should motivate and inspire you to overcome any situation. God is more interested in our character than he is in our comfort. Stay tuned to find out how to be empowered to be an overcomer in any situation!

The one who lives in us is greater than any trials we face…. thank goodness for that!

There may be times when it seems like our situation isn’t changing, and it might just be, that he is trying to change your heart, by having you go through that situation.

A good thing to remember when you’re going through these tough times is that God never uses anyone greatly, until he tests them deeply.

Sometimes he allows us to be put in situations that we can’t control, so that we have to trust in him.

Let’s see what the Bible has to say about what to do when trying times come your way.

Let’s start by reading James 1:2-4;

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds. Because you know that the testing of your faith, produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish it’s work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Now let’s read John 16:33;

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

God is not asking you to figure it out, he has overcome the world, and he’s asking you to cast all your cares upon him, and put your complete trust in him.

I came across a good quote from C.S. Lewis, it says;

“Life with God is not immunity from difficulties, but peace in difficulties.”

Before we go today, I’d just like to say a prayer over you;

Lord, I pray for each one watching this teaching, that you would empower each of them to be an overcomer in whatever situation they might be facing. I ask that the Holy Spirit would come alongside each one, and give them wisdom, revelation, and discernment, and that your perfect peace which passes all understanding would comfort them, in Jesus mighty name I pray, amen.
