The Power of Prayer
Prayer is a powerful weapon against the enemy that we as Christians should be constantly using. We should live a yielded life and be in constant communion with God our Father through prayer. The simplest way to define prayer, is that it’s communication with God.
Through prayer, our faith will grow, and when we have faith, whatsoever we ask in prayer, we will receive. [that’s found in Matthew 21:22] Stay tuned to find out how you can be empowered by prayer in your life.
If we truly understood the power of prayer, I think we would do a lot more praying!
The Bible says prayer changes things. Matthew 7:7 says, Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and you will find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
The power of prayer is often misunderstood and under utilized, but it has the ability to make powerful changes in our lives. Some of the areas in your life where prayer can really make a difference would be that it will give you peace, strength, hope, and courage when you need it.
Prayer brings hope to us, and it transforms the way that we think about ourselves, others, and what lies ahead of us. It will give us peace in any situation that we may face.
Prayer changes our focus from what’s going on around us, and directs our focus to God in Heaven. Prayer ushers us into God’s presence, where there is peace that passes all understanding.
Let’s take a look at some powerful verses on the power of prayer. Let’s start by reading
Mark 11:24 the KJV reads like this;
Listen to me! You can pray for anything, and if you believe, you will have it.
And then let’s read James 5:14-16 it says;
Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church to pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. And their prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make them well. And anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results.
There are endless ways that we can be benefitted by prayer. Prayer helps us to find direction in life, and from making the wrong decisions.
I’d like to take a minute to say a quick prayer over everyone reading this teaching.
Lord, I ask that you would touch the hearts of each person listening to this teaching today, I ask that you would encourage them with what the power of prayer can do in each of their lives, and as they yield to you in prayer, I ask that you would empower them to believe that all things are possible by faith through prayer. I pray this is in Jesus precious name, amen.
Thank you for joining me today, I hope today’s teaching will encourage you to pray without ceasing!
